This was a fun song to record! I wrote this with Mike Mattice and released it through our progressive metal band Yantra. The album entitled "Beauty and Balance" releases worldwide through Manta Ray Records and Sony Entertainment April 9th, 2013. Buy a copy on amazon if you like the musical ideas we promote. My goal with this band is to convey a positive blueprint for how a spiritually aggressive mind can grow and achieve artistic hierarchy through instrumental music alone. No lyrics necessary to translate powerful ideas.
Do you ever wonder what the most profound minds, engineers and inventors are entertained and influenced by today? What music is NASA listening to? What entertainment, art, music, and perceptive stimulation will take these brilliant minds further? Yantra was designed to be a brain exorcize for these types of people. We wrote these songs in Fibonacci Rhythmic motives to make them more appealing to the more simple cultures of the public as well. I believe that Leonardo Davinci and Nicholas Tesla were two of the most brilliant people known in human existence. These guys are fundamental role models that every bright young man should allude his inventive purpose to. It seems that the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci Sequence were a reoccurring geometrical motif in both of their products. Coincidentally, everyone is fascinated by their work. Maybe this means we should incorporate these principles of geometrical appeal to our musical work. So Yantra incorporates these principles for every song we write.
Did you know that Davinci was vegetarian? You are what you eat, and what you eat has EVERYTHING to do with your neuro-chemistry, how well you think, and perform. Mike and I wrote this album beauty and balance on a strict vegan diet to ensure that we operated at our highest musical capacity. What would Jesus do? I don't give a shit because Davinci is the only role model that matters. Davinci knew that humans are ment to be herbivores and we are know slowly coming to this understanding as a society even though there are industries with financial incentives to suppress this information. Eat Vegan, and then try writing because it kicks ass and you know its the right thing to do for your body, mind, spirit, environment, economy, and lyrics.
We also did many drugs. Mike came over my house many mornings to start off with a cup of coffee, and a pipe packed with marijuana. This combination is great for initiating our creative work process. We also ingested psychedelic mushrooms together one night in a palace located in Brighton, Ma. this helped us to assess our musical and spiritual endeavors. What a night that was!
We have only ingested these substances strictly out of appreciation for meta-cognitive and psychoanalytical research. Don't ever do drugs unless you are a strong and spiritually resilient intellectual.
